Jalebi is not originally Indian!! Do you know?

Jalebi is very very popular sweets in India. We can not thing any general fair without this Jalebi. It is a round shaped sweet make with maida flour and sugar syrup. It is too much testy. If we listen the name of Jalebi then water comes in our mouth. As per my knowledge this sweets is very much popular in India but India it is not it's origin. The Jalebi comes from Arabic word Zalabiyeh. And the age of this sweets around 1000 years old. Some where it is called  Kundalika or Jalavallika. And this may the Sanskrit word. 

Anyway  the Jalebi or Zalabiyeh or Kundalika or Jalavallika is very popular every part of India like North to South. East to West. Name is not matter here, It is matter of its test. 

 So next time when you will go for market to purchase Jalebi, ask the shop keeper for Zalabiyeh or Kundalika or Jalavallika. Ha ha...
